Qualis Named to the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies
Huntsville, AL – Inc. today ranked Qualis Corporation No. 1967 on its first-ever Inc. 5,000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. The Inc. 5,000, an extension of Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list, catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host of smaller firms. Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the US economy.
Qualis assists space explorers, warfighters, and national security specialists through the analysis of complex aerospace systems maintenance, training, and logistics. The company also supports ground robotics and offers program management services. Qualis started with two employees, President and CEO Elizabeth Morard, her partner Mary Engel, and $10,000; it now employs more than 350 people and has stepped up to prime contractor level. Qualis reported median revenue of $18.9 million and median three-year growth of 183.8%. “The company’s growth is fueled by the talent of the Qualis Team and its enthusiasm to execute the exciting and important programs of which we fortunate to be a part,” says Morard.
In 2007, the Small Business Administration also presented Qualis with the SBA Administrator’s Award for Excellence and the Region IV Subcontractor of the Year Award. To win this award, Qualis had to be the best subcontractor in an eight-state region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Jacobs Engineering, a large prime contractor with offices in Huntsville, nominated Qualis for the award.
