Huntsville Mayor Declares June 9, 2008 is “Qualis Day” in Huntsville

Huntsville, AL – In recognition of Qualis Corporation’s 15-year anniversary, the Mayor of Huntsville, Alabama, Loretta Spencer, named June 9, 2008 as “Qualis Day” in the city of Huntsville. Mayor Spencer’s proclamation recognizes Qualis’ success in providing quality technical services through experience, innovations, and quality performance. Qualis co-founders Elizabeth Morard and Mary Engel were presented with the proclamation on June 9, the 15th anniversary of the founding of the company.

The proclamation is as follows:

Whereas, Qualis Corporation was founded by Elizabeth Morard and Mary Engel as a Woman Owned technical services company in Huntsville, AL USA on June 9, 1993; and
Whereas, The Qualis mission is to provide superior technical solutions through experience, innovations, and quality performance; and
Whereas, Qualis sets integrity and ethics as the standards in all its relationships: and
Whereas, Qualis has hired the best employees to provide innovative ideas, and engineering excellence for its customers. The company has demonstrated a commitment to quality performance on more than sixty contracts supporting NASA, the Air Force, and the Army; and
Whereas, Qualis was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in America; and was recognized in 2007 as the Small Business Administration Region IV Small Business of the Year; and
Whereas, Qualis received an Alabama statewide award in 2005 as the most Family Friendly company in its size class; and
Whereas, Qualis is a significant contributor to local education and the arts: and
Whereas, Qualis management envisions continued growth and opportunity for its employees;

Now Therefore, I, Loretta Spencer, Mayor of the City of Huntsville. do hereby proclaim June 9, 2008 as “Qualis Day in Huntsville” and encourage all citizens to join me in recognizing the past fifteen years of service and continued prosperity.
