Qualis Supports Local Cyber Initiatives through Huntsville Championship Fore Cyber Progress Fund
HUNTSVILLE, AL (April 26, 2021) – Qualis Corporation has partnered with the Huntsville Championship Golf Tournament to bring its inaugural tournament, benefiting local students with new cyber scholarship opportunities.
The Huntsville Championship Fore Cyber Progress Scholarship Program Fund is one of the tournament’s top initiatives aimed at connecting eligible Huntsville/Madison high-school students interested in cyber with local collegiate institutions and the defense and contracting community in the Rocket City. The partnership includes the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama A&M University, Huntsville and Madison City Schools, Madison County Schools and other defense and federal government contractors.
“Qualis is honored to be part of this event,” said Qualis Co-CEO and President Rod Duke. “We have cyber professionals in eight states across America and are always looking for new talent. This is our way of supporting the cyber security warriors of tomorrow.”
The Huntsville Championship Golf Tournament was rescheduled last year due to the pandemic and will be played April 29 – May 2 at the scenic Huntsville Mountain course at The Ledges. A portion of the event proceeds will go to the scholarship fund, managed by the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville.
The tournament is part of the professional Korn Ferry Tour and is focused on using the power of professional sports to play a role in the region-wide initiative.
