Qualis Corporation Celebrates 25-Year Anniversary

Local Company Celebrates with “12 Months of Giving: A Lifetime of Making a Difference” Campaign

HUNTSVILLE, AL (June 6, 2018) – This month, Qualis Corporation celebrates 25 years of providing technical and engineering services to its customers. To commemorate this milestone, the company has dedicated the entire year to helping communities where Qualis employees work and live through the Qualis Cares “12 Months of Giving: A Lifetime of Making a Difference” campaign.

The campaign is a year-long effort to support major needs in three significant areas: U.S. Military Veterans and their families; youth science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education outreach; and health, wellness, and community involvement projects, with company-wide volunteer involvement and significant contributions planned for each month of the year.

Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, Qualis provides support at 18 locations nationwide, with previous U.S. deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. Today, Qualis’ 270 employees provide critical technical and engineering support to the Air Force, Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and NASA in the core areas of systems acquisition and engineering, test and evaluation, program management, executive strategic advisory services, and cybersecurity.

Founders Elizabeth Morard and Mary Engel established Qualis in 1993 with several employees in the early years supporting NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The company has since achieved steady growth and success supporting hundreds of large and small contracts in accordance with its mission of applying highly skilled personnel to advance customer success and providing superior technical solutions. Qualis takes pride in providing quality products and services by exceeding customer expectations.

“I am very proud of how far this company has come and want to thank each and every employee who has made a contribution,” Engel said. Engel retired from her role as Executive Vice President in 2008 but remains involved in the company as co-owner.

Morard, Qualis’ current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board Chairperson, added, “Reflecting on the years leading up to this 25-year milestone, it has been my sincere pleasure to have worked with our talented team of current and past employees. All have contributed their unique part in the company’s successful history through their expertise, innovation, and passion for the customers’ programs and missions among a number of their individual attributes.”

Morard, who previously served as both CEO and President for more than two decades before working in her current position, acknowledged that since the late 1990s, Qualis has been fortunate to continue long-term support to MSFC as part of the team for the Engineering Services and Science Capability Augmentation (ESSCA) contract awarded in late 2017. Qualis employees contribute to meaningful programs of civilian and defense organizations through partnerships with high-performing companies, as both a prime contractor and a subcontractor.

“We are grateful to have broadened our defense agency and contractor customer base over the years to serve the ultimate customers – the women and men in the U.S. Military,” Morard said. “Thanks to our dedicated employee team and company partnerships, Qualis is positioned for continued growth in this anniversary year and beyond.”
