Flight Vehicle/Spacecraft Science and Engineering
Qualis provides research, analysis, design, development, test and evaluation, and specifications development of various launch vehicle and spacecraft over the full range of mission operations. We optimize the systems and provide our customers with the information necessary to meet all requirements, conduct verification and validation, and assure mission success at minimum cost.

Second Stage Reentry: This project included
developing, integrating and analyzing design
flight instrumentation for the vehicle.

The projects we support include:
- Development of the Space Shuttle Main Engine (including a test program to validate the Block II upgrade)
- Design and development of Ares I propulsion systems (such as the Reaction Control System, the Roll Control System, the Booster Separation Motors, and the Ullage Settling Motors)
- Deployment of a Solid Rocket Motor cold flow facility to test the Ares five-segment 1st stage internal acoustical and flow
environment
- Support the design, development and integration of a diverse set of payloads, such as the microgravity glove-box, for the International Space Station (ISS)
- Design development and flight testing of the WB-57 Ascent Video Experiment (WAVE project)
- Design and development of the Ares I and Ares V launch systems, including structures, assemblies, handling equipment, launch environments, and ground processing of Ares elements
- Development of a complete set of aerothermal design environments for a commercial two-stage launch vehicle, including determining the aeroheating, pressures, shear levels, aeroacoustics, and venting boundary conditions for a complete time history.
