Qualis Opens New Corporate Office
Qualis Corporation celebrated the opening of our new corporate office at 5000 Bradford Drive in Huntsville, AL on October 24th, 2006.
Outstanding Task Award
Qualis employees receive an Outstanding Task Award from the Materials Mechanical Test Facility.
Curtis Bahr Receives Exceptional Service Medal
Curtis Bahr, a Qualis employee, received the Exceptional Public Service Medal at the Center Director’s All Hands Awards Presentation on June 21st in Morris Auditorium. According to the citation, Curtis responded quickly and intelligently to contain possible danger to MSFC employees and damage to MSFC property by accessing an explosion in Building 4487, Room 267, that occurred on Wednesday, July 6, 2005.
Marshall NASA Research and Technology Award
Qualis employee Gwyn Faile received the Marshall NASA Research and Tehcnology Award for his work with Fracture Control Methodology for Composites and Bonded
Vehicles Team.
Qualis Employee Receives Silver Snoopy Award
Francis Rawls, III receives a Silver Snoopy Award.
Group Achievement Award
Qualis employee Pat Fulda received a Group Achievement Award for exceeded expectations leading the team to develop the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) required to test the Water Recovery System (WRS) and Oxygen Generation System (OGS). Development of the GSE to support the test was on a tight schedule. To support the schedule, he used his knowledge of hardward development to work with the MSFC quality organization to develop a plan for meeting the schedule milestone and quality requirements. He pulled together the team to build the GSE. He has also been asked to attend the STS-121 Launch at Cape Canaveral from June 30th to July 3rd.

Lunar e-Library
Tracy McMahan, a Technical Writer with Qualis, wrote an article for the July 27th NASA Marshall Star about the Lunar e-Library, a new database which Qualis helped develop. Her article, "Lunar e-Library puts space history to work", focuses on how the Lunar e-Library can aid NASA research. The Lunar e-Library, which was developed by NASA's Space Environments and Effects Program, based at the Marshall Center, and Marshall's Engineering Directorate's Materials and Processes Laboratory, is a literature collection that includes 1100 documents/abstracts including Apollo mission and science reports. Other articles on the project have appeared on web sites, such as CollectSpace.com.
Qualis Participates in 2006 Ft. Walton Beach 2006 Regional Science Bowl
It was a tremendous pleasure to witness the wealth of knowledge displayed by the students at the Fort Walton Beach 2006 Regional Science Bowl. Qualis presented $1000 to the first place regional winner Fort Walton Beach High School (FWBHS) as well as $100 to each student who participated.
