Qualis Core Competencies

Qualis’ management and employees support a wide range of projects. The following core competencies outline our areas of expertise.

Acquisition Support
Qualis supports procurement, research and development, test and evaluation, logistics support, maintenance, fielding, and financial management (including cost estimating, shared-cost analysis, earned value analysis and life cycle cost analysis) to assist/support our customers in acquiring technologically superior and affordable systems.

Avionics Science and Engineering
Our technical experts study and develop guidance, navigation and control, and other electronic/communication capabilities for defense systems, tactical missiles, aircraft, and launch vehicles (including EMI/EMC considerations and instrumentation distribution).

Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS)
Our employees study and develop systems specifically designed to control the working environment biosphere for aircraft, spacecraft, and divers/pilots/astronauts. This capability area includes life support in hostile conditions for those operations requiring man-in-the-loop, and test and evaluation of ground based simulation facilities of space based hardware

Flight Vehicle / Spacecraft Science and Engineering
Qualis support developing specifications, research, analysis, design, development, test, and evaluation of various aircraft, launch vehicle, and spacecraft over the full range of mission operations. We optimize the systems and provide our customers with the information necessary to meet all requirements, conduct verification and validation, and assure mission success at minimum cost.

Ground / Flight Test Engineering, and Test Operations
Qualis provides engineering /technical, operational, and configuration management support to ground test facilities and flight test operations during the development and early operational phases of aircraft, launch vehicle, and spacecraft. Our support includes test planning, instrumentation, test support, data gathering and evaluation, and design recommendations leading to mission assurance and risk evaluation.

Logistics, Operations, Maintenance, and Training
Qualis supports a range of activities including procurement, storage, test and evaluation, configuration management, requirements specification, verification and validation; maintenance, and fielding of complex weapons and aircraft/missile, and launch vehicle delivery systems to assure capable, safe, survivable, and sustainable systems to meet mission objectives and goals.

Materials Sciences, Processes, and Engineering
Qualis scientists and technicians work on engineering and support activities specifically targeted at planning, conducting, and managing research, advanced development, compatibility, failure mode analysis and requirements compliance of materials and processes for aviation, aerospace, missile weapon systems, robotic ground vehicles, and all other customer assigned systems, programs, and projects.

Modeling and Simulation
Qualis supports the development, demonstration, and validation of analytical models, computer codes, advanced solid modeling in support of the design and analysis of specific hardware test articles for aircraft, missile, and launch vehicle programs. Specifically, Qualis supports activities which provide the capability to simulate and assess complex system operations and interactions utilizing software tools anchored by ground based testing and data evaluation.

Systems Engineering
Qualis engineers work on functions associated with developing, monitoring, assessing, and managing complex, multi-component, integrated hardware and software systems. These systems includes, but are not limited to, requirements analysis and flow-down, functional analysis, architectural design and synthesis, risk analysis and mitigation, specification development, validation and verification, interface control, and configuration management for commercial and Government applications.
